Visit us in our office/store! We offer Sunset Bay Resort sweatshirts, hats and t-shirts, along with s’more fixings, candy, snacks, ice cream treats, soda pop, ice, charcoal & lighter fluid, personal hygiene items and night crawlers. Information about area events and activities is also available. New for 2022! We are adding a glass top freezer so you can see all of the new lines of frozen ice cream treats available to choose from! We have also added frozen pizzas to take back to your cabin and bake! Make sure to come in and check them out. Hours are Sunday & Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 8:00-11:00 a.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m., Fridays from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m., 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Stop by for a chat and pick up that treat to enjoy!

The surrounding area offers numerous golf courses, bike trails, a movie theater, a community recreation center, museums, the weekly Perham International Turtle Races, the Turtle Fest in June, the East Otter Tail County Fair in July, plus many antique and specialty shops. There are churches of most denominations, and many places for dining and dancing. Maplewood State Park, Glendalough State Park and Inspiration Peak are not far from Sunset Bay. Also nearby is Minnesota’s first official birding trail, the Pine to Prairie Trail.

Guest Laundry
Laundry Facilities: A washer and dryer are available for guest use at the recently renovated Shower house. Laundry soap will be provided as we need to be sure it is septic safe. The cost of the soap will be included in the price of the load.Sunset Bay Resort added a new Kinetico soft water system connected to the entire resort in 2016. This gives softened, filtered water to clean your clothes! Instead of driving to town and sitting at the laundromat, do your clothes on site while you enjoy all there is to do at Sunset Bay!
